The Level 1 technician provides basic maintenance support for production machinery, learning the fundamentals of electronic manufacturing equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. This role emphasizes technical skill development, adherence to safety and quality standards, and building competency with tools, diagnostic procedures, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with routine preventive maintenance on equipment such as SMT machines, reflow ovens, wave solder systems, conformal coat systems, AOI/AXI equipment, and material‑handling automation.
• Assist senior technicians in basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
• Execute equipment cleaning, lubrication, and basic adjustments
• Accurately document maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Escalate issues beyond skill level and learn standard diagnostic procedures.
• Follow all safety, ESD control, and quality compliance requirements.
• Participate in training paths—including machines specific certifications—toward Level 2 readiness.
