Job Title
Maintenance Technician [THURS-SUN]Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery, process equipment, utilities equipment, process & facility physical structures, motors, electrical components, instrumentation and pipe & piping components within the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot andPerformsnecessary repairs on packaging Equipment individually or under supervision of Engineering.
Performs PMs on all packaging equipment.
Performs set-ups/changeovers for packaging equipment.
RegularlymonitorsmachineryToensure that IToperatesefficiently and reliably with minimal downtime.
Monitors all Equipment so IToperatesunder a continuous state of qualification as Defined bycGMPs
Documents all work performed inlog booksSAP.
Ensure inventory of all necessary change parts/spare parts.
Communicate all necessary change parts/spare parts for packagingTomaintenance Planner.
Troubleshoot all vision systems/serialization Equipment/barcode readers/PLCs asrequired
Work with Engineering To install, Troubleshoot, and improve packaging equipment.
Work with teams or individuallyTogive ideasToimprove Equipment efficiency, thru put, etc.
Must be flexibleTowork with packaging technicians on the line.
When required, help stage/Prepare readiness for each preceding scheduled packaging batch run and move material within finished goods warehouse area inToassociated racking locations.
Must be ableToread,comprehendand Follow machine Operation manuals and schematics.
Must be ableToutilize a computer.
Assistmaintenance technicians on other shop maintenancedutiesas necessary.

Education/Experience
High school diploma,GEDor technical school diplomarequired
Associates Degreein Electromechanical Technology or equivalent certification is preferred.
Packaging Line experience is preferred. (cGMP experience a plus)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment isrequired
Strong technical background and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and pneumatics isrequired
KeyCompetencies
Knowledge of serialization.
General technicalexpertisewith electromechanical systems, Servo and PLC driven machinery; and thorough knowledge of various packaging machines, including cartooning,labeling, and liquid filling isrequired
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have working knowledge of electricity, basic electronics,hardwareand measuring instruments.
Ability tocomprehendelectrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings of packaging equipment and systems.
The incumbent must be able to gown and work in protective gear as required by the SOP.
Must be familiar with GMPs.
Ability tooperatea fork truck is preferred.
The physical requirements for this jobare:excellent vision; ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to use hand tools safely; ability to bend, reach, stretch, and work in tight spaces.
