POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our maintenance team, ensuring the efficient upkeep, repair, and functionality of facilities, equipment, and building systems. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of technicians, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, and drive compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise and supervisory skills, capable of optimizing resources to minimize downtime and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems regularly to identify potential issues, determine maintenance needs, and recommend preventive measures.
- Develop and implement weekly/monthly maintenance schedules utilizing preventive maintenance software, allocating tasks to technicians based on workload, skills, and priorities to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Supervise a team of maintenance and cleaning personnel, providing coaching and feedback to enhance team capabilities.
- Inspect, test, maintain life safety systems, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinklers, kitchen hoods), exit signs, and fire doors.
- Perform or oversee monthly/quarterly/annual testing and documentation of emergency systems (e.g., fire pumps, alarms, emergency generators tied to life safety).
- Identify and promptly address deficiencies or malfunctions in life safety equipment, coordinating repairs or vendor services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports for all life safety inspections, tests, and maintenance activities to support audits and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers) for installations, repairs, and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain and oversee building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Ensure full adherence to health, safety, and quality regulations, implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations, directing resources to resolve issues promptly and minimize disruptions.
- Provide evening, weekend and holiday on-call coverage as needed.
- Commitment to continuous learning in evolving maintenance technologies.

Essential Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; familiarity with building codes and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with fire and life safety equipment (e.g., fire alarms, suppression systems, emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire pumps).
- Leadership: Ability to motivate, delegate, and develop a diverse team while fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Organizational Skills: Scheduling, resource allocation, and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting, training, and collaborating.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), or trade-specific licenses (e.g., HVAC, electrical) preferred.
Experience:Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Technician, or similar role (1-2+ years preferred), with hands-on background in facility maintenance. Strong hands-on experience of maintenance software, work order systems, and tools for inventory and scheduling.
Language: Bilingual not required but useful.
Certificates & Licenses: Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation, if applicable
Physical Demands:
The ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time is required. Employees will also need to squat or bend, reach outward or upward to effectively discharge job duties.
Job incumbent must be able to lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs. and work in various environments (e.g. indoors, outdoors, heights, and enclosed spaces).
