Arnold Grounds Apartment Management
Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Stratford Commons I & II in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have hands-on multifamily maintenance experience and take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
- Complete apartment make-readies and unit turns according to company standards and established deadlines.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of apartments, buildings, common areas, and property equipment.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and make appropriate repairs or recommendations.
- Assist with maintaining property grounds, common areas, mechanical rooms, and maintenance shop.
- Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls as part of the property's on-call rotation.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and Fair Housing guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, Community Management, and other team members.
- Assist with property inspections and promptly address identified maintenance deficiencies.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work orders and changing priorities.
- Professional communication and customer-service skills.
- Must be dependable and able to participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors.
