Maintenance Person to work in a Nursing Home

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Care Home Maintenance Technician to support a friendly and well-established care home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining safe, comfortable, and welcoming surroundings for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the care home environment
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance work
- Maintain flooring, fixtures, fittings, and equipment
- Replace light bulbs and ensure all areas are safe and well-presented
- Conduct PAT testing and support health and safety compliance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Assist in maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance role
- Previous experience within a care home, healthcare, or similar setting is desirable
- Good working knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general building maintenance
- Experience carrying out PAT testing
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, practical, and proactive approach
