Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and production equipment. This position is responsible for:

  1. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and facilities, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  2. Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and to minimize downtime.
  3. Repairs and Modifications: Conducting repairs on machinery and equipment, as well as making modifications or upgrades to enhance performance and safety.
  4. Compliance and Safety: Adhering to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, including GMPs and SOPs, to ensure a safe working environment.
  5. Documentation: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to track equipment performance and compliance.
  6. Collaboration: Working closely with production teams and other maintenance staff to address equipment issues promptly and support production goals.
  7. Training and Development: Continuously updating skills and knowledge related to new technologies, equipment, and maintenance practices.

    • Full-time
  9. COMPENSATION:
    • Pay range $35.05 per hour.
    • Swing and graveyard wage differentials.
  10. BENEFITS:

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education:
  • High school diploma, vocational training, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications or experience in HVAC, refrigeration, desired but not required.

  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years of experience in facility and production maintenance environment.
    • Experience with boilers, chillers, & refrigeration systems desired but not required.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with conveyor systems, including, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of case erecting and folding systems, including operation and repair.

  • Safety Knowledge:
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards. (LOTO) Lock Out tag out Arc Flash Desired.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities:
    • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues related to electro/mechanical systems and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50Lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks.

  • Communication Skills:
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Tools and Equipment:
    • Own basic hand tool and be proficient with power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Ability to navigate through a computer and MS Office.
    • Familiarity with (CMMS), MVP is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail:
    • Strong attention to detail in completing tasks and documenting maintenance.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to assist and train others as needed.
