Job Description

Vacancy Status: Active vacancy (currently recruiting).

About the role:

This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment in the factory, modifying and installation of equipment may be required. As well as troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, modification and installation as needed for the Brantford facility. The Maintenance Technician – Millwright is cognizant and understanding of food and employee safety and ensures application in their daily routine.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of production systems.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance on facility machinery is completed and documented.
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs accurately.
  • Locate and diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate test equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot mechanical issues within required timeframes.
  • Maintain personal and equipment safety compliance at all times.
  • Process all necessary paperwork for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Train production employees on equipment setup, operation, and related procedures as needed.
  • Participate in projects and rebuilds, including developing and revising Lock-Out and Confined Space procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and employee safety policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Millwright Certification and at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Advanced skills in one or more areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, welding, pipe fitting, or PLC programming.
  • Must be able to move freely throughout the facility and work in various weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Comfortable working at heights and climbing stairs frequently.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50–55 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of standing on concrete floors for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, squatting, stretching, and reaching.
  • Willingness to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all company standards and procedures.
Compensation: Hourly Rate: $45 CAD
Working Hours: Continental shifts 7:00pm to 7:00am
