Do you like finding the problem and fixing it? Our Mitchell Plastics Huntsville facility is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, and we want to fill this role as soon as possible! As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to problem solver who keeps our equipment safe, reliable and ready for production. Steady schedule, no rotating shifts! You’ll work Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.

A. What You’ll Do

  • Keep our equipment in top condition by carrying out preventive maintenance according to the PM schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical and electronic issues.
  • Find and repair mechanical problems.
  • Document the corrective actions you take so the team has a clear record.
  • Spot safety concerns and fix unsafe conditions, helping keep the workplace safe for everyone.
  • Record your repairs on PM forms to keep maintenance history accurate.
  • Make sure work areas have proper lighting.
  • Take on other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other Senior Management.

B. What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Grade 12 education or higher.
  • A Maintenance, Millwright, or Electrical/Electronic certificate.
  • 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • The ability to read and write in English.

C. Skills That Will Help You Succeed

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Training in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Training in mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Some machining and welding skills.
  • An understanding of WHMIS.
  • Knowledge of injection molding machines and their auxiliary equipment.
  • An understanding of the key Quality and Environmental Management Systems procedures for this role.
  • Familiarity with the forms, tags and labels that govern this job function.
