Compensation for this role: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour (commensurate with experience), plus $3.00 shift differential
Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production machinery, plant equipment, and facilities. This role ensures equipment reliability while supporting regulatory compliance, safety, quality, and production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot production machines, make mechanical adjustments, repair, and retrofit as needed.
Perform basic electrical repairs such as replacing a motor or sensor; install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in the CMMS.
Ability to plan and perform major equipment overhauls.
Support continuous improvement projects to increase reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns in a timely and safe manner to reduce the overall impact to production.
Collaborate with engineering, production operators, and quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
Knowledge and practical application of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and power transmission systems.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including repairing and replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components.
Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, grinders, drills, and milling equipment, to rework, repair, or fabricate machine components, jigs, fixtures, and specialized tools.
Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal.
Provide on-call maintenance support and emergency response
Work in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Report any unsafe work conditions to the Safety Manager, supervisor, or management.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum of Five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in technical disciplines of mechanical production machinery maintenance.
Fabrication, electronics, or facility maintenance skills preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot production machines, make mechanical adjustments, repair, and retrofit as needed.
Adept at making basic electrical repairs such as replacing a motor or sensor; installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Effective communication with internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, timekeeping, and work order systems required.
Acceptable vision test results (as applicable).
Must have English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, understand, and communicate the company's operating procedures and policies.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; stoop; bend; balance; kneel; climb; crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
