Maintenance Technician

📍 Highland, NY💲 $23.00 – $27.00 per hour🕒 Full-time | Overtime Available | Excellent Benefits

Selux is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Highland, NY. This position is responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on technician with experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance who is comfortable working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Maintenance Work Requests as well as Preventative Maintenance assignments that require electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry skills.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues on various production and facility equipment
  • Assist with installation and startup of new equipment
  • Respond to production breakdowns and urgent repair needs
  • Operatre forklifts, lifts, and other powered equipment as needed
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures
  • Work overtime when required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years’ experience in manufacturing / industrial / building maintenance
  • Experience with basic electrical and pneumatic control circuits
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Able to operate powered vehicle equipment including forklifts, platform lifts and Boom Lifts
  • Familiarity with basic construction trades (framing, plumbing, electrical wiring, sheet rocking, painting etc.)
  • Awareness of environmental rules and regulations helpful

Physical Demand Requirements:

  • Standing, walking and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Must be tolerant of working at heights (up to 30 ft.)
  • Valid driver’s license
