Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep a busy manufacturing and production facility operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This role goes beyond reacting to breakdowns. The Maintenance Technician will support preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, assist with equipment installation and commissioning, and help identify solutions that improve equipment reliability and reduce costly downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and recommend preventative solutions.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and service histories.
• Prioritize maintenance and repair activities based on production needs.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Maintain basic electrical connections, nodes, and conduits.
• Support facility electrical, lighting, heating, and air-conditioning maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized service is required.
• Maintain forklifts and company vehicles and associated service records.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and parts inventory.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate proper storage and disposal of applicable hazardous waste.
• Help improve equipment reliability, useful life, workplace safety, and overall facility performance.

These duties reflect the existing emphasis on preventative maintenance, breakdown analysis, equipment commissioning, facility systems, forklifts, service records, and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing or production maintenance experience.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical connections, nodes, and conduits.
• Ability to read machine manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of plastics and sheet-metal equipment and machinery.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety programs, requirements, and inspections.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday
• Starting at $18.00/hour
• Compensation based on experience
