We’re seeking skilled and dependable Maintenance Technicians (Levels I–III) to support the upkeep and repair of JBNC’s residential and commercial properties. Whether you’re early in your maintenance career or bring advanced technical experience, this role offers the opportunity to grow your skills while making a direct impact in the community.

Technicians perform a wide range of maintenance tasks—from basic repairs to advanced system diagnostics—helping ensure that all properties are safe, functional, and move-in ready.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform maintenance and repairs across residential units and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction
  • Complete work orders efficiently and maintain high-quality standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce future issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair appliances and building systems based on experience level
  • Support unit turns and ensure apartments are ready for new residents
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including participation in an on-call rotation
  • Travel between JBNC properties to complete maintenance work
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related trade (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.)
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks appropriate to technician level (I, II, or III)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding work (standing, climbing, bending, etc.)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAMT certification (preferred for Level III)
  • Experience in residential or apartment maintenance
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, non-exempt position
  • Based at JBNC with regular travel (approximately 80%) to area properties
  • On-site, hands-on role with rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance
