Maintenance Technician II – Electrical Focus

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II – Electrical Focus to join our Hydroelectric Power Plant team in Estreito, Maranhão. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of equipment, directly contributing to the generation of clean energy that powers millions of Brazilians.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on the plant’s electrical equipment, ensuring its availability and operational reliability.
  • Participate in the commissioning of new systems and oversee contracted maintenance services, ensuring quality and technical compliance.
  • Propose continuous improvements to maintenance processes by suggesting innovative ideas applicable to power generation operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical records, preparing reports, completing forms, and updating equipment technical documentation.
  • Specify materials, issue purchase requisitions, inspect materials, and manage receiving processes.
  • Comply with and promote Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management standards, contributing to the implementation of the Company’s certification requirements.
  • Organize and execute work with high quality standards, following internal procedures and applicable regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or Electromechanics with an Electrical focus, with an active CFT registration.
  • Intermediate knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings, flowcharts, and equipment technical manuals.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation software, and email.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance management tools, integrated management systems, and health and safety standards.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance at a Hydroelectric Power Plant will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Basic English proficiency will be considered an advantage.
