Repair and maintain production equipment and building related electrical and mechanical systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair and maintain, (in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s recommendations) production machines, conveyor systems and equipment, using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Troubleshoot problems of CNC mechanical systems and related production machinery (mills, lathes, bar feeders, saws, presses and related manufacturing accessory equipment)
• Preventive maintenance of all machining production related equipment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks in the machining areas (mechanical repairs/replacements on machines)
• Other duties as assigned
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with CNC machines, preferred
• Experience with hydraulic equipment and PLC troubleshooting, preferred
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation, preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Self-starter and motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s drawings and manuals to complete repairs
• Use of hand tools and precision measuring/testing instruments

Frequent stooping and bending. Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
