County of Blair is looking for a Maintenance Technician - HVAC to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, the technician will be responsible for routine checks, inspections, and repairs to County HVAC systems. Performs modifications and installations on HVAC equipment as required. Assists maintenance staff with the performance of general labor tasks, including but not limited to: parts replacement, grass cutting, landscaping, and snow removal as well as participating in the setup and takedown of voting precincts during elections. This position may also require attendance at training sessions, meetings, and continuing education seminars.
Requirements
Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; EPA Section 608 certification and HVAC/R certification, and the capacity to work at heights associated with internal and external HVAC systems required. Two years of relevant work experience, or equivalent technical schooling, required. The candidate must also be able to work effectively within a team, respond to emergency situations, and be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as necessary.
