Job Description

Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (age 2) through 8th-grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Facilities Technician. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairing, and maintaining school facilities.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, landscaping, drywall repair, carpentry, fixture installation, and moving furniture or materials throughout the facility.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events, meetings, and activities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance duties.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00, Hourly
