About the role:

Join MYMC as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Fitter & Electrician) and play a key role in keeping our fast-paced manufacturing operations running at their best.

Working Monday to Friday, 12:00pm–8:00pm across our MYMC sites, you’ll combine your mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot and improve production, packaging, warehouse and automated equipment.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who thrives on solving problems. You’ll tackle breakdowns, complete preventative maintenance, fault-find across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and keep production moving.

Key responsibilities but not limited too:

• Keep our operations moving by performing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across production, packaging, conveyor and warehouse equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated material-handling systems, including Pick-to-Light systems, conveyors, carton sealers and pallet wrappers.
• Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control-system faults, within your licence and competency.
• Fault-find across motors, VSDs, sensors, photo-eyes, safety circuits, PLC-controlled equipment and control systems.
• Get involved in the installation, commissioning, relocation and improvement of equipment, helping us build a safer and more reliable operation.
• Drive equipment reliability by identifying recurring issues and contributing to practical continuous improvement solutions.
• Keep maintenance activities, preventative maintenance and breakdown reporting accurate and up to date through our CMMS.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, contractors and equipment suppliers to solve problems, minimise downtime and keep equipment performing at its best.

Skills & Experience:

• A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• A current Qualified Supervisor Certificate – Electrical.
• Strong hands-on mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.
• Proven electrical fault-finding experience, working within your licence and competency.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, packaging machinery and automated production equipment, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Solid working knowledge of motors, VSDs, sensors, pneumatics and PLC/automation systems.
• Confidence reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and minimise equipment downtime.
• Additional licences such as Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights will be highly regarded.
