
With a focus on patient care, directly engage in maintaining plant operations, grounds maintenance, performing work orders, preventive maintenance duties, and regular assessment of facility equipment and structures. Maintenance Technician I will experience a wide array of technical, trade, and regulatory related functions in both a hospital and rural healthcare setting.Under the direct supervision and guidance of the facilities manager, the maintenance tech I executes the critical needs of the building systems, engaging in problem solving and collaboration on a regular basis between two campuses. As part of a team critical to the functionality of the physical environment, communication, ability to learn, and the desire for professional development are necessary. Maintenance Technician I will be responsible for keeping a clean, safe, well-maintained, and healthy environment throughout the facility and in offsite buildings. Under the direction of the facility manager, works with leadership across the organization to address needs as they may arise. Supports initiatives to build a strong and resilient Facilities Department for the continued care and service of the New London Hospital patient population. Participates in inter-departmental safety training both in-house and with the use of contracted vendors. This position is hands-on.
