The Site Maintenance Technician (Electrician) is responsible for the safe, hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of site electrical systems supporting manufacturing and facilities operations within a GMP pharmaceutical environment. The role focuses on rapid fault diagnosis, restoration of equipment availability, and completion of planned preventive maintenance to site standards. The electrician supports electrical improvements by identifying recurring failures and implementing approved reliability and safety upgrades. The position works closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to ensure electrical systems remain compliant, documented, and reliable. The role coordinates with vendors/contractors for specialist support and scheduled works. A strong emphasis is placed on electrical safety, isolations/LOTO, and disciplined documentation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical fault-finding & reactive maintenance - Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and facility equipment; test and replace motors, drives, power supplies, protection devices, and control components to safely restore operation.
Safety, compliance & documentation - Maintain high standards for electrical safety (risk assessments, permits, LOTO, verify dead), maintain labelling and basic drawing mark-ups/as-builts, and support SOPs/standard work where required.
Planned preventive maintenance & inspections - Execute electrical PMs and statutory/ site inspections (as applicable), complete testing, record results, and ensure CMMS/work order documentation is accurate and GMP-appropriate.
Electrical installations & modifications - Install and modify electrical containment, wiring, terminations, distribution components, isolators, and panels in accordance with site standards and approved permits/method statements.
