Maintenance Technician Electrical-T5

The ideal candidate will need to troubleshoot, repair, operate and install electrical equipment to manufacturer specifications, electrical code and industry best practices while adhering to Mosaic OH&S requirements. The employee must be able to identify the steps, materials and hazards associated with the completion of their tasks and apply appropriate controls to best mitigate the hazards. They are also required to document and provide feedback to the planning group around job steps, materials and follow up work. They will be working closely with the refinery operations and production crews, refinery maintenance crews, and planning group to ensure that there is effective communication and coordination. Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in Electrical is required. Incumbents must have a good understanding of all aspects of the electrical trade and have experience working safely within an industrial setting. They also must have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and enthusiastic

What you’ll do:

• Safely operate, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment. Including lighting fixtures, cable/conduit, cable tray, LV/HV switchgear, electric motors, transformers, plc systems, electrical field devices, and so on.
• Provide timely and accurate feedback on job plans, work packages, kitting, and spare parts.
• Develop and follow electrical switching plans.
• Interpret and mark up field schematics and drawings.
• Participate in Mosaic's safety program.

What you’ll need:

• The ideal candidate must have a certification - Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in Electrical.
• The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of all aspects of the electrical trade and have experience working safety within an industrial setting.
• The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
• 2-3 years of Experience with High Voltage Switching, Gas insulated switchgear is an asset.
