SCHEDULE *NIGHT SHIFT*

Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM – 7:00AM (shift differential pay)

On-Call rotation; work phone provided

WORK LOCATION

Arnett Hospital

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.

  • Responds to dispatched general maintenance service calls in a timely manner. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains secondary utility systems, including Plumbing systems, Air-conditioning systems, Electrical systems, Air handling and ventilation systems.

  • Performs interior building maintenance, including Interior wall finishing, drywall repair and patching, surface preparation, painting and touch-up work.

  • General upkeep of interior spaces.

  • Maintains, repairs, and inspects specialized machinery and equipment in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Identifies facility equipment and system deficiencies and recommends improvements or corrective actions through appropriate channels.

  • Supports patient care objectives by ensuring facility systems and equipment operate safely and effectively.

  • Coordinates maintenance activities and functions with other departments and services.

  • Conducts routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.

  • Documents maintenance activities and reports findings as required.

  • Adheres to organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • May require a valid Indiana driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Requires general knowledge of specialized areas including electrical secondary systems, plumbing systems, fire system devices and air systems.
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • Requires general knowledge in the use of power and hand tools.
  • Requires basic computer skills. Knowledge of applicable building codes related to healthcare is preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
