As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, gounds, vehicles, and equipment. You will complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance, respond to maintenance requests, and coordinate approved outside repairs. The Maintenance Technician will help maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained environments for clients and staff.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of building, grounds, vehicles, and equipment
  • Report any issues to the Maintenance Manager, Director of Operations, and Executive Director
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently
  • Estimate repair costs
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment only after being approved by the Director of Operations
  • Check the maintenance log daily to address any maintenance issues reported by the staff
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
  • Treat the residents with dignity and respect. Follow the residents' rights and responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Attention to detail and can prioritize independently
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate computers and other office machinery
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to travel more than 20%
