Maintenance Technician

Choose your shift: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm. Full-time at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ, a short walk from the beach and boardwalk. $17.49 to $18.65 per hour.

The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community at 2201 Bay Avenue, is home to residents in independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehab. What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems to keep our community running smoothly
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and team members, delivering timely, high-quality service
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to help ensure equipment and facilities remain safe and reliable
• Accurately maintain service records, inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to support daily maintenance operations
• Help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout resident apartments and community spaces

What you'll need

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to read work orders, safety labels, and equipment instructions in English
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Flu vaccine (medical and religious exemptions available)
• Hands-on repair experience in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing

Nice to have

• Maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hotels, or apartment communities

Schedule

• Full-time. Pick one of three set shifts: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm
• Monday through Friday, plus every other weekend
• Holidays covered on a rotation
