  • Complete interior and exterior painting as needed
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents within established timelines
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests
  • Complete work orders accurately and on time
  • Troubleshoot maintenance concerns and coordinate solutions with site staff and supervisors

  • Report property or unit concerns, including safety hazards, housekeeping issues, or pest activity
  • Assist with snow removal and other seasonal property maintenance
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and help ensure emergency maintenance coverage
  • Attend required meetings, inspections, and training sessions
  • Follow applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing and ADA requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably within property management or multifamily housing
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance and repair practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Comfortable completing tasks independently and managing competing priorities
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, procedures, and written instructions
  • Basic math skills for measurements and material usage
  • Basic computer skills for communication, work orders, and documentation
  • Professional communication skills when working with residents, employees, vendors, and management
  • Ability to work in changing environments and adjust priorities as needed

Tools & Additional Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred
  • Must provide and maintain basic hand tools, including drills, saws, screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches
  • Ability to travel between assigned properties
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company auto insurance requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on maintenance position. You must be able to:

  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds

  • Occasionally lift more than 100 pounds with assistance
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Use required personal protective equipment while performing maintenance tasks
  • Safely perform detailed inspections, repairs, and equipment operation

Why You'll Like This Role

You'll have the flexibility of a part-time, approximately 25-hour workweek, with hours scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You'll also receive a $40 monthly phone credit.
