Position Summary

ABM is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of building maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance activities across campus facilities. This position supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of university buildings and equipment.

Pay :$ 23-26 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule: Full-time position, generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and participation in an emergency on-call rotation.

• Perform routine and emergency building repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, lighting, fixtures, mechanical equipment, and other facility systems.
• Assist skilled trades personnel with construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to five years of building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment, follow written and verbal instructions, and complete work orders and reports.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
