Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting facility equipment, utilities, and warehouse systems in a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical warehouse environment. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building systems while maintaining compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Principle Accountabilities
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Support maintenance of dock levelers, roll-up doors, conveyors, pallet handling equipment, and automated warehouse systems.
- Assist with operation and maintenance of temperature-controlled storage areas.
- Monitor facility equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
GMP Compliance
- Follow GMP, GDP, and company procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and timely.
- Ensure work orders, PM records, and maintenance logs are maintained in compliance with company standards.
- Participate in investigations, CAPA activities, and change control processes when required.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
Utilities & Building Systems
- Monitor and support HVAC systems, electrical systems, compressed air systems, and emergency generators.
- Perform routine inspections of facility and utility equipment.
- Assist with calibration activities and vendor service coordination.
- Support fire alarm, sprinkler, and life safety system inspections.
Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures including LOTO and PPE requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Support external contractors performing maintenance and repair activities.
- Escort and monitor vendors working in GMP areas.
- Verify contractor work is completed safely and in compliance with site requirements.

Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of GMP, GDP, OSHA, and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, motors, pumps, conveyors, and building systems.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and facility drawings.
- Experience with CMMS systems preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school or trade certification preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing maintenance experience. Experience in GMP or regulated environments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC Certification
- EPA Refrigerant Certification
- Electrical License or Industrial Maintenance Certification
- Forklift and Scissor Lift Certification
- Experience in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated facilities
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods.
