Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Position Summary: Responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the facility, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently on IMG Academy’s campus. This role troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic building issues, supporting a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for student-athletes, team members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities

Perform carpentry work, paint, move furniture, repair locks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs

Conduct preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status

Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and urgent repairs

Maintain tools and equipment in good working conditions and always follow safety procedures

Assist with general building upkeep, including painting, fixtures, walls, flooring, and minor carpentry work

Monitor facility systems and report major repair needs to leadership as appropriate

Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors and vendors

Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with safety regulations

Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student-athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendors

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one

Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred; experience in hospitality, commercial, or residential environments a plus.

Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.

Commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality work.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 50lbs

Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift

Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations

Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.

Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather

Ability to operate office equipment such as computers

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate equipment and tools

Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
