Job Title: Rolling Stock Technician

Job Location: Maintenance Line 2 Office- Panamá

The electric/mechanic operator will rely on the M.R Shop Supervisor and will be responsible for the corrective maintenance operations which, will be performed in the Subways guaranteeing compliance with the indicators and the established quality of service requirements.

Overview:

Maintain optimum operation of the Rolling Stock (shipped and fixed), in coordination with the different areas of the company.

Meet the standards of QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) and RAMS (reliability, availability, maintenance and safety in the various maintenance activities performed for clients of Alstom.

Ensure compliance with internal safety regulations and standards for risk prevention.

Specific responsibilities of the role:

  • Comply with safety standards.
  • Responsibility of compliance with the indicators and quality requirements.
  • Perform corrective maintenance operations on the Subway wagons.
  • Analysis and resolution of equipment failure, including the preparation of research reports, if need be.
  • Follow up on repetitive issues with rolling stock, proposing investigation routes for their resolution.
  • Maintenance software log analysis of the onboard equipment, which allows optimization of the rolling stock maintenance.
  • Brief of the issues that arise in the operation.
  • Report the results of maintenance operations performed on the line or shop, in order to keep the system database updated.
  • Propose improvements to the Maintenance Plan.
  • Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Propose improvements to procedures/materials/means to optimize the service.
  • Propose the personal needs for training that are deemed appropriate, for improvement in the development of your job position.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Competencies -

  • Availability and functionality of the trains.
  • Claims response time.
  • Reports/Disclosures/Briefs on major equipment failures.
  • Customer satisfaction level.

Previous experience :

Technical training and/or University degree in Electric or Electronics Engineering.

At least 3 years of experience in operations area , Experience in Rolling Stock is a plus

Technical Skills

  • English – basic level.
  • Computer skills - user level.
  • SAP or Railsys knowledge is a plus

Education

  • Technical training/experience and/or University degree in Electric or Electronics Engineering.
  • Knowledge and practice in Rolling Stock and/or aviation
  • Knowledge of industrial computing. Not mandatory

Additional Training:

  • Maintenance training and industrial equipment (especially in rail) will be value. Not mandatory
  • Knowledge of office software (Windows, Office, ...) is a most
