Job Description

Key responsibilities include

  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance requirements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Carwashes, and general building maintenance issues.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor facility systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training programs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders

Who you are:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.

  • Trade certification in a maintenance-related field (such as Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, or Millwright) is considered an asset.

  • Relevant maintenance training and certifications are preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in facility, building, industrial, or commercial maintenance.

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs across a variety of building systems.

  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

  • Experience in retail, agricultural, food, fuel, or commercial environments is considered an asset.

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract.

  • Car Wash technical training considered an asset.

  • WHMIS certification required.

  • First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.

  • Other safety-related certifications may be required based on operational needs.
