We’re looking for a skilled, dependable, and solutions-focused Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with their hands, and keeping equipment and facilities operating at their best.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays an important role in keeping Arden’s Garden running. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, and building systems across our production, warehouse, and retail environments.
From preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration issues, you’ll help ensure our teams have safe, reliable equipment and facilities to support daily operations.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just respond when something breaks—they recognize potential problems early and take action before those problems disrupt operations.
What You’ll Do
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration issues.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical problems.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and maintenance of new equipment and facility systems.
- Identify parts, tools, or outside services needed to complete repairs and communicate those needs to management.
Facility Maintenance
- Perform general building and facility maintenance across production, warehouse, and retail locations.
- Troubleshoot and address issues involving lighting, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, fixtures, and other building systems.
- Complete minor construction and facility repair projects as needed.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and operational work environments for employees and customers.
Preventative Maintenance & Documentation
- Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned maintenance tasks on time.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and equipment service documentation.
- Document completed repairs and communicate recurring or significant equipment concerns to management.
- Monitor equipment conditions and recommend preventative repairs or replacement needs when appropriate.
Operational Support
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from production, warehouse, retail, and other operational teams.
- Prioritize maintenance requests based on safety, operational urgency, and business impact.
- Communicate repair status, equipment downtime, and anticipated next steps to the appropriate teams.
- Work collaboratively with employees, managers, vendors, and outside contractors when necessary.
- Help identify practical solutions that reduce downtime and keep operations moving.
Safety
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures when completing maintenance and repair work.
- Use tools and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Identify and communicate unsafe equipment or facility conditions.
- Maintain an organized work area and properly store tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
- Support a culture of safety throughout Arden’s Garden facilities.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, facilities, or a similar environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or refrigeration systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment rather than relying solely on outside vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, instructions, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs and respond appropriately to urgent issues.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical, trade, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position. The Maintenance Technician must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, climb, and move as necessary to inspect and repair equipment.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment as appropriate.
- Work within production, warehouse, retail, and facility environments.
