About the Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility. This position is responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing timely repairs to prevent downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with other departments to support production goals by minimizing equipment failures and optimizing system performance. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, including identifying potential problems before they escalate and recommending improvements. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to a safe, reliable, and productive work environment by maintaining all infrastructure and equipment in excellent working condition.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support efficient workflow and compliance.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize maintenance tasks and implement improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to industrial or commercial facilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English for effective communication.

    The Maintenance Technician utilizes their mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge daily to inspect and repair equipment, ensuring continuous operation. Problem-solving skills are essential for diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions to reduce downtime. Communication skills facilitate collaboration with colleagues and reporting to management, ensuring transparency and coordinated efforts. Familiarity with technical documentation and schematics supports accurate maintenance and repair work. Additionally, adherence to safety standards and protocols is critical to protect both personnel and equipment during all maintenance activities.

    Qualifications

    • Performing troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
    • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. Assist with the service and repairing of more complex equipment.
    • Ability to repair all electrical wiring, electronic and electrical equipment (24 to 480 Volts)
    • Complying with applicable regulations according to OSHA and the department’s Safety program.
    • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC programs.
    • Provide scheduled and emergency repairs to production equipment during production shift
    • Install and maintain production/facility equipment
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Adhere to safety protocols.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
    • Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required
    • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred.
    • At least 3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
    • Able to read electrical schematics, and mechanical Drawings
    • Able to perform electrical troubleshooting and have a knowledge of electrical controls.
    • Must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulics, electrical panels and electric motors.
    • Must have basic knowledge of lock out / tag out and PPE.
    • Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
    • Licensed electrician, preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
    • Standing for most of the shift, walking, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    • Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
    • Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
    • Constantly thinking and processing information.
    • Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Manufacturing floor with machinery.
    • Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.
    • Use of personal protection equipment is required

    Anticipated Pay Range


    $31.00-$35.50/hour + Overtime + Production Bonus

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    Shift


    7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday with overtime
