Facilities Maintenance Technician
At our client's facility in Groveport, OH. is looking for an experienced Technician for a new role!
Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the facility, equipment, and grounds while troubleshooting building systems and responding to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, clean, efficient, reliable operation with minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES
• Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment, building systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Repairs and maintains dock doors, dock levelers, dock shelters, overhead doors, lighting, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment.
• Performs general carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and minor concrete repairs.
• Conducts routine facility inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Responds promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency repair requests.
• Installs, assembles, and relocates equipment, shelving, racking, and office furniture as required.
• Maintains maintenance logs, inspection records, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work areas.
• Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other powered equipment safely when authorized.
• Assists with facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Performs grounds maintenance as needed, including trash removal and minor exterior repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions)
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two (2) years of facility or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
