Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (1) of their properties in Shoreview, MN (55126). The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance, experience with unit turns, appliance repairs, plumbing issues, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, and be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day. This role is contract and expected to last 2-4 weeks in length but could become permanent for the right candidate.

This role will be working with (1) community that was built in 2024, 201 Units, 4 stories, Class A Market Rate/MagicPaks.

Salary: $25-$28/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Trash & Recycling - Manage waste disposal areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper sorting.
• Garage Maintenance - Keep parking areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Work Orders - Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing issues efficiently.
• Appliance Repair - Troubleshoot and repair in-unit and common area appliances.
• Painting - Perform touch-ups and full-unit painting as needed.
• Turnover Maintenance - Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, cleaning, and inspections.
• HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical - Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs in these areas.
• Preventative Maintenance - Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
• Grounds & Curb Appeal - Maintain clean and well-kept outdoor spaces, ensuring the property always looks its best.
• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
• Other Duties as Assigned - Support the team with additional tasks to ensure smooth property operation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance – groundskeeping, work orders, preventative maintenance and unit turns.
• MagicPack experience is required.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
• Skills: Organized, self-starter and motivated, with strong work ethic, and excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation – as this role will be roving between properties.
