
OF POSITION:
This position has a highly responsible role in providing building maintenance and repair services throughout the Duneland School Corporation properties. This position is required to interact with Duneland School Corporation staff on a regular basis. This position will interact with individuals both inside and out of the corporation and therefore, must have the ability to present a professional and organized image at all times.
Starting Salary: $20.50/hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (includes equipment, hours, physical demands)
Work Environment: This position typically works in facilities with a controlled temperature environment. Occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions may occur depending upon assignments and time of year.
Equipment: This position is required to maintain a working knowledge of all departmental equipment. A basic knowledge of operations concerning computers, printers, telephone systems, fax machines and copiers is required.
Hours: This position is typically expected to work an average of 8 hours per day. Summer hours will be adjusted as per the Superintendent to assure adequate coverage throughout the summer period. Evening, weekend and holiday activities will be scheduled as necessary.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by all Duneland School Corporation maintenance technicians to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
