Maintenance Technician

Great Hours, 7:30 to 4pm Monday-Friday with on-call rotation and on-call pay!

To work as a Maintenance Technician, you will provide maintenance services at our main campus and family group homes. Reliability, ability to work on projects and operate power tools is essential to excelling in the position. Performs routine maintenance on buildings, building systems and grounds by performing the following duties.

  • Provide maintenance and lawn services to our facilities and care homes while maintaining upkeep of our homes and campus.
  • Completes assignments based on work orders and preventative maintenance schedules primarily for homes, buildings, or grounds assigned to. Completes other work as assigned.
  • Assess repair needs and ensure supplies and tools needed are available to make the repair.
  • Installs and maintains equipment, furniture and appliances.
  • Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems.
  • Orders or requests ordering of supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Visually inspects facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Completes checks of fire control panels and other building systems.
  • Safely operates hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborates with staff and other departments during renovations.
  • Moves equipment, fixtures, and individual’s belongings during relocations or moves.
  • Repairs drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building
  • Cleans and assists with general upkeep of the facilities and grounds.
  • Follows company safety practices and regulations.
  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.
  • Completes assigned training including agency compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years related experience or training; light electrical, light plumbing, light carpentry, light HVAC
  • Able to diagnose light trouble shooting
  • Must be able to work independently and swiftly
  • Able to lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, pull, push and use lawn and power tools and equipment.
  • Good attendance record required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and Auto Insurance
  • 18 years or older
  • Pass criminal background, drug screen and physical
