Job Title: System Signaling Technician

Job Location: Maintenance Line 1 Office- Panama

In Alstom Panama projects and its various activities, the teams of System & Infra, Rolling Stock and Signalling are focused on the development of its activities to deliver a product with the highest levels of quality and safety, while respecting the established budgets.

From the design development to the demonstration of reliability and availability rates, our commitment is to meet our clients' contractual requirements

The electrical / mechanical operator will depend on the Head of the CBTC workshop and will be responsible for corrective maintenance operations executed on CBTC systems (onboard and fixed) of the company ensuring compliance with the rates and quality of service requirements established.

Specific responsibilities of the role:

  • Comply with safety regulations.
  • Responsibility for compliance rates and quality requirements.
  • Perform the corrective maintenance operations executed on CBTC systems (onboard and fixed) of the company.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting, including the preparation of research reports, if necessary.
  • Tracking repeated problems in CBTC systems (onboard and fixed) of the company, proposing lines of research to solve them.
  • Analysis of the records of the equipment maintenance software, to optimize the maintenance of CBTC systems (onboard and fixed) of the company.
  • Report the problem to occur in the operation.
  • Report the results of the maintenance operations carried out online or workshop to keep our computer database updated.
  • Suggest improvements to the Maintenance Plan.
  • Suggest improvements in procedures / materials / media to optimize service.
  • Suggest personal training needs considered adequate for an improvement in the development of their jobs.
  • Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies

Support in other project areas.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Competencies -

  • Availability and operation of energy systems
  • Claims response time.
  • Major damage reports.
  • Customer satisfaction level.

Previous experience

At least 3 years of experience, in operations area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Base training: Electrical Specialty.

Knowledge and practice with the tools and electronic/electrical implementation of low/medium/high tension.

Knowledge of power electronics.

Knowledge and handling of mechanical tools.

Knowledge of setting up and maintaining cold facilities, weatherization and heat production.

Knowledge of industrial computing.

Supplementary training:

Maintenance and industrial equipment training will be appreciated (especially in the railroad field).

Office software knowledge (windows, Office, …)

Expected professional experience:

Experience in industrial maintenance will be appreciated, especially in the railroad maintenance field and work under medium/high tension.

Education

  • Technical training/experience and/or University degree in Electric or Electronics Engineering.
  • Knowledge and practice of electronic and electrical tools and instrumentation of low / medium / high voltage.
  • Knowledge of power electronics.
  • Knowledge of Installation and Maintenance of cold storage facilities, air conditioning and heat production. Not mandatory
  • Knowledge of industrial computing. Not mandatory

Additional Training:

  • Maintenance training and industrial equipment (especially in rail) will be value. Not mandatory
  • Knowledge of office software (Windows, Office, ...)
