
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The individual in this position will p erform and coordinate routine maintenance and repair operations in order to ensure safe, clean, and functional properties and equipment. Additional responsibilities include:
Maintain Easterseals buildings in a safe, functional, and habitable condition.
Perform routine Electrical repairs including replacing switches and plugs, running new phone and computer cables and installing terminals, Plumbing repairs including unstopping drains, repairing leaks, and changing faucets and Carpentry tasks, including hanging shelves and repairing windows, walls, ceilings, and floors
Promptly notify supervisors when maintenance order requires outside contractor or other types of assistance
Paint interior and exterior of building in a professional manner.
Maintain grounds of Easterseals properties including shrubs, trees, lawns, mulch beds, parking lots, sidewalks, gutters, etc.
Provide exceptional customer service and interact with staff, visitors, vendors, and clients in a cordial and professional manner.
Assist in office moves; meeting setups and breakdowns; and assist with special events including set up, breakdown and clean up.
Assist in keeping Easterseals clients and staff in a safe and secure environment.
Perform janitorial duties when needed.
May be required to perform work at other, local Easterseals facilities.
Available for emergencies on nights and weekends as well as during weather events (i.e. snow removal, etc.).
Track and update assigned maintenance requests in property management software system in real time and ensure requests are completed per department policy and procedures
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in general maintenance doing troubleshooting and repairs preferred
Must be able to work rotational on-call duty, per the department policy and procedures.
High school education or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Hours: Monday - Friday 1st Shift with on-call rotation
Compensation: $24 - $30 an hour based on education and experience.
