Job Title
Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician supports the daily operation of Sony PlayStation facilities in a fast-paced environment within the video game industry. Working under the direction of the Regional Facilities Manager, this role helps deliver a safe, functional, and exceptional workplace experience by supporting facility operations, responding to service requests, coordinating vendors, and assisting with the maintenance of commercial building systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include reviewing and responding to facilities tickets, assisting with office moves and event setup/breakdown, supporting employee and client requests, performing routine inspections, coordinating preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and completing basic repairs, overseeing vendors, and maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of assigned sites. This role requires strong customer service, organization, and a willingness to support both operational and technical aspects of facilities management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review, prioritize, and respond to facilities service requests through the work order system, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
- Support daily facility operations by assisting with office moves, workstation setups, furniture adjustments, event setup and breakdown, conference room readiness, and general workplace support.
- Coordinate vendors performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and project work, including scheduling, site access, escorts, quality assurance, and follow-up.
- Build positive relationships with employees, visitors, and client stakeholders by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, kitchen equipment, and general building infrastructure.
- Complete general building maintenance including replacing ceiling tiles, repairing door hardware, painting walls and equipment, minor carpentry, patching, and finish work.
- Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of building equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, storage rooms, loading docks, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Support workplace services by assisting with supply inventory, employee requests, wellness rooms, common areas, and maintaining an exceptional workplace experience.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, building alarms, and urgent facility issues.
- Assist with the operation, inspection, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms, fire pumps, extinguishers, and related equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility operations, enhance the employee experience, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Utilize smartphones, tablets, computers, Microsoft Office, CMMS/work order systems, and building automation systems (BAS) to manage daily responsibilities.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Complete all required Cushman & Wakefield and Sony safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support client operations and business needs.

Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting facilities operations in a commercial office environment.
- Experience providing customer service in a professional workplace.
- Experience coordinating vendors, responding to work orders, and supporting day-to-day building operations.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and general commercial building repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, vocational, military, or on-the-job training in one or more of the following:
- HVAC
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Mechanical systems
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Building automation systems
- Process controls
- Engine repair
- Experience using CMMS/work order management software.
- Experience supporting office moves, employee events, workplace services, or conference room operations.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and mobile technology.
- May serve as the only facilities team member on site during certain shifts.
- Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or participate in an on-call rotation when required.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours.
Work Environment
This position operates in both a professional office environment and commercial building setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment while also performing hands-on facility operations throughout occupied buildings.

The employee must regularly:
- Walk throughout multiple buildings and outdoor areas.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Climb ladders and stairs.

- Reach overhead and use hand and power tools.
- Operate computers, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
- Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
