Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. Eaton’s Milton, Ontario site is Eaton's largest manufacturing facility in Canada. The hourly rate for this position is $$33.00 - $43.00 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fabrication and production equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on fabrication and production equipment, including but not limited to:
o Flexible Manufacturing System (e.g. Punch machines, Fiber Laser, Panel Bender, Material Management System)
o Paint line systems
o EHRT busbar punch machines
o Hydraulic and electrical press brakes
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Develop, manage, and execute maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain and update records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and tooling requirements.
• Implement and support predictive maintenance programs to proactively identify potential failures.
• Analyze equipment performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimize disruption to production operations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and equipment efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Provide support during off-hours or weekends as required to meet business needs.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
• Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
o CNC and automated fabrication equipment
o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
o Electrical systems and troubleshooting (PLC knowledge is an asset)
• Experience working with:
o Laser cutting systems
o Punching and bending machines
o Automated material handling systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
