Location: Franklin, KY

This position is responsible for providing technical support, responding to process problems, independently troubleshooting and repairing/adjusting foundry production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Additionally, this position requires the ability to plan for ongoing preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

• Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machinery.
• Troubleshoots and edits programs and settings on automated equipment.
• Make or modify fixtures and tooling when needed.
• Take corrective action on any safety violation and notify the area supervisor.
• Performs preventative/planned maintenance.
• Performs building repairs if required.
• May support production operations during staffing shortages or critical situations, as needed.
• Lockout/tagout (LOTO)
• PPE adherence
• Incident reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

• Blueprint/schematic reading
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
• Willing to work any shift, with occasional overtime required.
• High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
• Must be highly safety conscious.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Two years of technical education or five years combined experience and training in a manufacturing or equipment repair environment.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to focus eyesight both far and near.
