Job Description

PHMC serves as both a direct service provider to individuals, families, and communities across the region and an intermediary agent, managing large-scale contracts, government and philanthropic partnerships, and multidisciplinary initiatives that require operational sophistication, strategic leadership, and deep mission alignment.

Adhere to the preventive maintenance service delivery system outlined in the Preventive Maintenance Plan. Assist the Facility Manager with maintaining certification on all equipment. Assist in performing regular site and systems inspections.

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to respond to directions
  • Willingness to work overtime to resolve emergencies
  • Ability to deal effectively with people, especially residents and site staff
  • Ability to physically perform the required manual duties
  • Valid Pa. Driver’s License is required

Responsibilities:

  • Perform, coordinate, supervise, and oversee all repairs and improvements of the physical plant and campus.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe facility.
  • Service all machinery, appliances, and tools.
  • Maintain and update files of warranties and service contracts on all equipment.
  • Perform daily maintenance duties.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the building to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure the building is adequately supplied.
  • Complete all work orders within 24 hrs.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance duties.
  • Maintain 24hr on call coverage.
  • Maintain the IHW maintenance log.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment. Secure service as needed.
  • Maintain outside grounds.
  • Ensure trash is picked up by vendor.
  • Maintain agency vehicle.
  • Conduct fire drills every month to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide transport as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage of food and household supplies.

Skills:

  • Good organizational skills.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in maintenance and groundskeeping work.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Graduation from an accredited trade school.
