We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our R&D team in Nijmegen.
Facility Maintenance Technician at a glance ...
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure. The Facility Maintenance Technician is the handy-man of our facility. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
Key Ingredients:
Responsible for routine maintenance tasks; cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure equipment, systems and facilities are functioning properly
Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, technical
Repair, install or replaced damaged fixtures and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems for the building
Inspecting equipment and systems, to identify potential issues
Collaborate with R&D staff to understand equipment and system requirements and provide technical support as needed
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, such as work orders on maintenance list
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance processes and procedures
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed to perform maintenance and repairs
Issuing work permits
Prepare set up for meeting rooms if necessary

3+ years experience in similar role
Technical training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
Experience as a handyman or similar maintenance role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of safety standards
High sense of safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
