This role is responsible of maintain boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, water well systems, and wastewater treatment plant operations in proper service condition. Responsible for executing preventive maintenance activities according to the established maintenance schedule for the previously mentioned equipment and systems..

Functions and responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and operational activities for boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water well systems.
  • Execute neutralization activities for acidic water and spent liquor.
  • Perform filtration activities and removal of sludge generated during neutralization processes.
  • Prepare operating supplies and chemicals, including flocculants and lime.
  • Refill lubricant and oil levels in reducers and related equipment.
  • Perform blowdown activities for boilers, compressors, and air receivers.
  • Prepare brine solutions for boiler and cooling tower water softeners.
  • Support the operation and reliability of utility systems to ensure continuous plant operation.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and execute maintenance activities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, operational, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electromechanical, Utilities, Maintenance, or related field).
  • Technical certification or diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings and process flow diagrams.
  • Knowledge of boiler operation.
  • Knowledge of screw compressor operation.
  • Experience in steel and CPVC piping repairs.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements for pressure vessels and pressurized systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.
