MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Supervisors Title: MaintenanceManager

Purpose

Repairandmaintaina variety offacilities,production, andbuilding equipment,along with related work involved inmaintainingthe building.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities

  • Maintain control and motor systems

  • Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts

  • Perform basic welding and fabricationas needed

  • Support& complywithsafety & environmental guidelines

  • CommunicatedailywithProduction and Shipping Managers

  • Support & comply withsafety & environmental guidelines

  • Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts

  • Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team

  • Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations

  • Research and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacement

  • Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM’s andPM’sare properly performed and documented inMaintainX

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills

  • Good Englishlanguage skills

  • Welding skills

  • Good communicationskills

  • Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems

  • Advanced manufacturingmechanical experience

  • Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience

  • Strongmechanical knowledge

  • Strong electrical knowledge

  • Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams

  • MS Office literate

  • No fear of heights

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior process machinery trouble shooting

EducationHigh School Diplomaor equivalent

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required tostand, walk,communicate,seeand hear

  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to35lbs.

  • Frequentlyclimb towers up to 35 feet high

  • Regularly required to climb,balance, stoop, kneel, crouch,stretchor bend

  • Strong motor skills
