Maintenance Technician – JLL

What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for performing general building maintenance, repairs, and tenant service requests across assigned properties. This hands-on position directly contributes to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services and creating safe, functional environments for our clients and their occupants. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will help maintain the high standards that set JLL apart in the real estate industry.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Maintain lighting systems, including replacing bulbs and ballasts throughout assigned facilities
  • Perform locksmith duties, including rekeying doors, cutting keys, and maintaining accurate key logs
  • Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment
  • Complete general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems
  • Execute minor plumbing repairs and complete special tasks including painting and tenant service requests
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested by clients or operations team
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • Demonstrated ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for multiple buildings
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and safely use ladders up to 30 ft.
  • Must possess and provide own basic hand tools required to perform assigned work scope
  • Successful completion of background check and drug testing
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program in building maintenance or related field
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently or effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures
  • Experience responding effectively to facility emergencies and safety situations
  • Knowledge of State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws related to facility maintenance
  • Familiarity with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Location: Onsite Havertown, PA and Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $21- $22 per hour
