Department: Maintenance

Position Type: Hourly Hourly Wage: $35.75

Function: Operations

The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all inclusive. The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent.

Provides technical support in the manufacturing of liquid drinks. Must be versatile and able to problem solve breakdowns in addition to being proactive with adequate preventative maintenance to avoid machine malfunction and unnecessary downtime. Works with all team members to meet production goals within operating budgets.

Crucial duties and responsibilities:

1. Works with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals.

2. Follows all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).

3. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

4. Participates and provides input with the team during DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings.

5. Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

6. Performs troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime.

7. Performs equipment repairs.

8. Installs/ repairs/ maintains all types of electrical and mechanical equipment including PLC’s, wiring, motor starters, switches, motors, gearboxes, pumps, filters, actuators, valves, etc.

9. Reads and understands all types of blueprints and CAD drawings.

10. Operates power tools, hand tools, and electrical and instrument test equipment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment.

11. Operates welders and torches to perform repairs.

12. Operates trade specific tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and verniers.

13. Operates all types of machine shop equipment including drills, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and cut-off saws.

14. Performs all vital documentation of work performed and any unusual conditions, or defective equipment with the highest accuracy possible in SAP.

15. Performs ownership of tools and shop by maintaining good housekeeping and a clean and orderly work area.

16. Coordinates training as needed.

17. Performs other duties as assigned.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.

Physical Considerations:

1. Requires frequent walking and extended periods of standing

2. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

3. Ability to climb

4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons etc.)
