Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. This role assists with preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and general facility support while ensuring compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and provide technical support for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems throughout production and support departments.
  • Determine materials, parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Coordinate and participate in scheduled and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain steam, heating, cooling, and water treatment systems throughout the facility.
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and implementation of new equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimal maintenance or mechanical experience required; technical school or vocational training preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and equipment instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, pumps, and industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Welding, fabrication, or HVAC experience is a plus.
