Responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on CNC machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations and manuals, manufacturer’sinstructionsand engineering specificationsTroubleshooting malfunctions andrepairwhere necessary
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive work orders,identifyfaultyequipmentandacquireparts and equipment to complete repairs.
Troubleshoot, repair, install andmaintainproduction equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical work,
Complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades,calibrationsand retrofits.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, level, plumb bobs, and straight edges.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
Review production specifications,identifyand report capacity restraints
Maintains a safe and clean working environment bycomplying withprocedures, rules, and regulations.
Locates sources of problems byobservingmechanical devices operation; listeningforproblems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Maintain andacquirenew technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technicalpublicationsandestablishingpersonal networks.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.

Education and Experience:
Highschool diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 6monthsindustry related experience and/or training.
Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of machine maintenance is ideal but notrequired
2+ years of equipment maintenance in a machine shop environment isrequired
Experience with CNC repair and/or robotics isrequired
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office knowledge and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System is desired.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical andproblem solvingability.
Ability to perform maintenance functions such as replacing spindles, ball screws, bearings,slidesand other components of machine tools.
Ability to coordinateand prioritizedaily workload based on capacity and customer demands.
Proficient in MS Office.
Excellent communication, projectmanagementand organizational skills.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
Demonstrated ability to perform electrical,mechanicaland hydraulic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments.
High ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform repairs.
Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals,manufacturer’sinstructionsand engineering specifications.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing with some lifting, bending, and twisting.
Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop,bendor kneel whenrequired
