Responsibilities:

  • Performmechanicaldutiesincluding, but not limited to, mechanical,industrialelectrical(up to 480 volts), pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Perform preventative maintenance on our machines.
  • Weoperatelarge flat rolled steel processing lines such as cut to length, slit, shear, and polishing.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
  • Reassembles machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
  • Starts machines andobservesmechanical operation todetermineefficiency and to detect problems
  • Inspects or tests damaged machine parts, and marks defective areas oradvisessupervisor of repair needs
  • Lubricates or applies adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures
  • Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications
  • Uses Maintenance X program tomaintainsupplies and spare parts inventory
  • Reads maintenance repair work orders and specifications todeterminemachine and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
  • Direct other teammates toassistin various improvement projects andcollaboratewith other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment
  • Maintains equipment files and orders spare-parts inventory on service center equipment and work effectively with operations to implement a preventive maintenance program to improve equipment uptime (or reliability)
  • May occasionally drive company motorvehiclesfor local pick-up for parts
  • Comply withall safety regulations and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and promote the same throughout the facility
  • Perform highly diverse duties to install andmaintainproduction machines and the plant facility's equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test andmake adjustments

Qualifications

  • Must havequalifications througheducationand experienceinhigh voltageelectrical/mechanical work or Journey-level experience equivalent
  • Minimum one (3)years'experience in general maintenance repair work
  • Musthave qualifications to work on high voltage electrical equipment following all requirements.
  • Experience performingregular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as prescribed in the preventative/predictive maintenance plan
  • Able tolift upto 50lbs.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Mustpossessa Valid Driver's License
  • Position requires availability for emergencyon call situationsto come in and repair equipment as needed in the evenings and/or weekends
