About BearCat

Every journey, every dream, every goal requires a road. A road is

more than a highway. It’s a vision and a way to get there.

A pathway to the future.

Every road has a starting point. At Etnyre International, our road

began in 1898 in Oregon, Illinois. That’s where our founder, Edward D.

Etnyre, established E.D. Etnyre & Co. His ingenuity and commitment

to quality allowed a burgeoning United States to move, to transact

and to connect by developing the original road maintenance and

preservation machines that came to dominate the market.

Over the decades that followed, we developed a certain way of doing

things. Driven by care, humility, integrity, trust, and respect, we

crafted an approach that is evident today, even after 125 years.

It’s how we deal with our loyal members, our repeat customers, our

reliable suppliers and our dedicated dealers. It’s evident in our

superior products like our legendary distributors and chip spreaders

and our responsive services. We are fixated on high-performance,

quality, and reliability, the hallmarks of our reputation. Additionally,

we are guided by our North Star of Improving Lives.

For us, it’s simply the right way to do business.

Today, Etnyre International is a diversified manufacturing company

that is building a path to the future through our Etnyre, BearCat, SMF and

Hendrick businesses – legacy brands each in their own right.

Looking ahead, we will focus on both international and domestic growth as

we expand our capacity, move into new markets, work toward our

aspiration to become a truly global brand, and delight our customers

with better, more innovative solutions.

With our proud legacy and starting point in mind, we look ahead to a

great future with our members, customers, suppliers, and

communities joining us on the road ahead.

The Road Ahead.
